Movies in 2007

As you already probably now, I love movies. More than almost anything else, they can put you into another world, explore the depths of human emotions and experience, or discover the possibilities of artistic expression. And since I for the most part have stopped watching TV, I’ve been able to watch a lot of films so far this year. In fact, I’ve kept track of the films I’ve seen, and just yesterday the number hit 102!

It sounds like quite a lot, but factors out to only about an hour of movie watching a day, something most people far outweigh in TV watching. Following is a list of the 102 movies I’ve seen so far this year. All of these movies were films that I saw for the first time this year, in 2007. As I add to this site, I will hopefully have links for each film with a mini-review of what I thought about it. I’ve posted the movie name, what year it came out, the director, and then what country it is from, if not the USA. Ok, so without further adieu, here’s the list:

  • 6 of the films on the list were Westerns, and 6 were from the French New Wave.
  • My favorite film so far is hard to say, but would probably by The Bicycle Thieves.

I’ll keep this list updated as I watch more films, so keep checking back in now and then.
